Program Facilitator (Full-Time)

As our Program Facilitator, you will not only have a vital role in serving as a role model and mentor to our program participants but be responsible for preparing and delivering Polished Pebbles core programming at our various schools throughout the city, ensuring to collaborate with school representatives to adequately deliver the activities and programs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY:
  • During the school year, lead in-person sessions throughout the school day or after school at up to 3 sites across Chicagoland.
  • During the summer, lead in-person or virtual programming.
  • Present the various programs to middle and high school girls in an interactive, engaging and empowering learning environment while fostering a setting that assists with self-disclosure, understanding, and overall support.
  • Ensure all administrative documents are organized, complete and submitted on time to avoid non-compliance.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF:
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in youth development programming, youth group facilitation, or training. Preference given
  • to experience being in schools from urban, underserved communities.
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or non-profit management however, well
  • rounded applicants with any degree may apply.

LatinX Workforce Development Coordinator

As our LatinX Workforce Development Coordinator, you will not only have a vital role in serving as a role model and mentor to our program participants but be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and analysis of assigned Polished Pebbles LatinX Workforce Development programs. This position will support the primary compliance, operational, and administrative functioning for Polished Pebbles LatinX programming across various schools and community sites.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY:
  • During the school year, lead in-person sessions throughout the school day or after school across Chicagoland.
  • During the summer, lead in-person or virtual programming for Workforce Development Programming.
  • Facilitate the Workforce Development program curriculum to appeal to middle and high school girls in an interactive, engaging, and empowering learning environment.
  • Ensure that assigned Polished Pebbles LatinX programs meet performance goals, grants-based requirements and program objectives.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF:
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in youth development programming, youth group facilitation, or training. Preference given to experience being in schools from urban, underserved communities.
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or non-profit management, however, well rounded applicants with any degree may apply.
  • You can meet the requirements of Chicago Public Schools and other school districts to work in their facilities.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish.

Mentoring & Collaboration Specialist

As our Mentoring and Collaboration Specialist, you will not only have a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and impact of Polished Pebbles programs. This position combines program coordination, data management, and special events coordination to create a positive and enriching experience for program participants.

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY:
  • During the school year, lead in-person sessions throughout the school day or after school across Chicagoland.
  • Assist in planning program logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, and resource allocation. This includes travel arrangements for program-related events and assisting students in program enrollment.
  • Collect and maintain accurate records and prepare reports to track program progress.
  • Conduct training sessions for high-performing and high-potential students during special events. Assist with event management. 
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF:
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in youth development programming, youth group facilitation, or training. Preference given to experience being in schools from urban, underserved communities.
  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or non-profit management, however, well rounded applicants with any degree may apply.
  • You can meet the requirements of Chicago Public Schools and other school districts to work in their facilities.
  • You must be highly motivated, an effective communicator, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail and a genuine enthusiasm for empowering young individuals and make a positive impact in the community.
